John got a tattoo recently of Batman and quote from Mumford and Sons that says "Bury my heart next to yours." I got the same quote tattooed on myself over a year ago next to a picture of 2 cats holding tails. We picked this quote from the song "Ghosts that we knew" which is one of our songs as a couple. Okay, I picked the quote. John just agreed with me cause I'm better at picking quotes. If it was up to him, our song would be something by Meatloaf.
My point is, Tomorrow is our 6 year anniversary, which feels like a good time to gush about my husband on the internet. He loves it when I do that. And I know that cause we're soulmates which means I obviously know everything about him.
About 8 years ago, before we started dating, I wasn't really sure if I liked John. But after our first real one-on-one conversation on the phone, I was pretty sure we were gonna get married. I was very stressed out about calling him because, if you know me at all, you know I HATE calling people on the phone that I don't know VERY well. So I had to call Kayla first and psyche myself up to make the phone call. Then a crazy, completely unheard of thing happened. I found myself being completely comfortable talking on a phone. It felt like we had already been friends for years and we could just talk about anything. After that, I fell pretty hard for him and I'm still falling for him. I have never once questioned whether he was the right man for me and sometimes I wonder how I even found someone so perfect. There's no one on this earth that I would rather tackle this crazy life with!
